CHALLENGES FOR 2021!

The beginning of February in the new year is a good time to verify the first New Year's resolutions. For some, it is also the last call to make any decisions for the coming time ?. Regardless of that, we predict better and better what the new year will bring in the coming months. The COVID-19 pandemic is still and probably will be the number one topic in the media, at work, at home or in online classes. What strikes us even more is the fact that the problems related to the coronavirus do not eliminate the problems of everyday life, which as a result gives us twice as many things to do and twice as many problems. Is there a way to handle it somehow? I have only one idea, trivial but effective. Let's turn problems into challenges. Sometimes such a small change, even in the names themselves, can work wonders!

So what are the challenges for us in 2021? Let's check!

1. COVID-19 VACCINE

Vaccinations seem to be the only real gateway to normalcy. According to the website of the Ministry of Health, 1,884,113 vaccinations have been performed in Poland so far. We cannot compare ourselves to Israel, where more than 4,000,000 people [45% of the population] have already been vaccinated, but we rank high in the overall ranking. What's good also? The enthusiasm of the vaccinated people, the growing awareness of the need for vaccinations and above all, the effectiveness of the vaccine confirmed by research.

Let me also make a small appeal - let's read reliable information, base our judgments on research results. Social networks are not the best source of knowledge. Not everything we find online is true. ?

2. PRODUCTION OF ZLN-UT LOW-TEMPERATURE FREEZERS

Referring to the first point of challenges for 2021, it is not difficult to guess that for POL-EKO, the introduction of the global vaccination plan is also a serious challenge, mainly from the production side. The market requires reliable information, fast delivery and professional service. This is obvious considering there are millions of lives at stake. Meeting these requirements is our point of honor and goal with the highest priority of implementation. We are aware of the responsibility that rests on us, we will do everything we can do to meet the expectations of our customers and distributors.

3. CHANGES IN EXPORT

As export manager, I am particularly interested in the changes taking place in the countries with which we have the opportunity to cooperate. This year changed the rules of the game at the beginning of January. On 01/01/2021 the Moroccan authorities announced the end of tolerance in import/export matters. How it works in practice? As we read in the official notification, according to the new control system, economic operators will have to carry out conformity assessment of industrial products. Checking and certification may only be performed by accredited companies.

The first mentions in this topic were visible at the beginning of 2020, but I think that due to the situation with COVID-19 as a world, we slept through this matter. How big and will it be complications at all? We'll see!

The Brexit issue should also be added to the bag of challenges. The consequences of the British choice will undoubtedly hit both export and import, the question is: how strongly will we feel it? Who will suffer more? It is difficult to find answers to these questions. For now, we are struggling with a pile of paperwork, regulations, ambiguities and complications, which became commonplace for both sides of the business when Great Britain left the European Union...

4. NEW FUNCTIONALITIES IN SMART CONTROLLERS

The end of 2020 was a time of increased activity for us. Thanks to the support and commitment of our IT department, we were able to introduce a major update of SMART in 2020. What that means for customers? First of all, improving the work of the controller, cosmetic fixes, new languages (French and Spanish) and a number of new, functional solutions. The first devices with the new version of the system were delivered to customers at the beginning of 2021. We are waiting for your feedback!

A detailed description of what's new in SMART's will be available on our blog soon!

5. KEEP CALM AND DON'T GO CRAZY - THE LAST AND THE MOST IMPORTANT AND DIFFICULT CHALLENGE IN 2021

2020 has been a period of uncertainty, anxiety and fear. Uncertainty about tomorrow, fears about the future, fear of getting sick. This year will be similar, unfortunately... This year will be difficult, unfortunately... This year will be a challenge for all of us. Let us not give up hope, let us look for the positives, even in those difficult times.

Let's take care of ourselves and our loved ones and wait patiently for the end of the COVID-19 pandemic. Let's be healthy and safe throughout 2021!
