POL-EKO® strengthens its carbon footprint reporting capabilities

At POL-EKO® , we believe that innovation and responsibility must go hand in hand. That is why in 2024 we took another important step toward sustainable development by expanding our team’s expertise in carbon footprint measurement and reporting. This investment reflects our long-term commitment to understanding our environmental impact and acting on it with transparency and precision.

Why carbon footprint measurement matters

A carbon footprint is one of the most important indicators of a company’s climate impact. It includes both direct emissions and those generated indirectly throughout the entire value chain. Understanding where emissions come from — and how significant they are — is essential for building effective long-term reduction strategies that align with evolving global standards. As expectations from customers, markets, and regulators continue to rise, responsible organizations must adopt data-driven climate actions. POL-EKO® is proud to stand among companies that treat this responsibility seriously and systematically.

Advanced LOCT training – deeper insight into Scope 3 emissions

Our team— Jakub, Patrycja, Bartosz, Monika, and Katarzyna — has successfully completed the second module (Scope 3) of the Supplier Leadership on Climate Transition (LOCT) program, a global initiative led by Guidehouse Inc. The program supports companies and their supply chains in measuring and reducing greenhouse gas emissions across all operational boundaries. Scope 3 represents the most complex and extensive category of emissions, as it includes all indirect greenhouse gases generated throughout the value chain.

„Calculating Scope 1 and 2 emissions was relatively straightforward. The real challenge came with Scope 3 — emissions generated outside our direct control.” —POL-EKO® Team

Our goal is to build a strong, data-driven culture of climate responsibility that engages both our internal teams and external stakeholders.

Sustainability as part of POL-EKO®’s identity

At POL-EKO®, environmental responsibility is not a standalone project — it is a fundamental part of our identity. It influences how we design our equipment, how we cooperate with suppliers, and how we support laboratories and industrial clients worldwide. We believe that the future of our industry depends on innovation that respects planetary boundaries. That is why we will continue strengthening our competencies and integrating sustainability into every aspect of our growth.
