POL-EKO visits partner company VDW
POL-EKO® collaborates with Cairn Research Ltd
POL-EKO® has partnered with Cairn Research Ltd from the United Kingdom – a recognized leader in advanced solutions for live cell and tissue imaging. We were pleased to welcome Mark Henson, a representative of the company, to our headquarters, where we planned the project of a custom-designed CO₂ incubator together.
Cairn Alligator – a specialized CO₂ incubator for circadian rhythm research
This collaboration has resulted in the creation of the Cairn Alligator – an innovative CO₂ incubator equipped with a top-mounted optical window, designed for integration with advanced camera systems. This unit will play a key role in circadian rhythm research conducted on live cells and tissues.
Key features of the Cairn Alligator
- Stable incubation temperature (~37°C)
- Full protection from external light – ideal for simulating day/night cycles
- Compatibility with cameras for detecting low-light signals such as bioluminescence
This setup enables uninterrupted, multi-day experiments, allowing precise monitoring of biological rhythms, gene expression, and calcium levels in 24-hour cycles.
The unit is already on its way to the UK client
The completed unit was shipped just a few days ago to the headquarters of Cairn Research Ltd, where it will soon support cutting-edge research in the field of cellular biology. We look forward to sharing further updates as our collaboration progresses!
