Climate chambers at the Institute of Systematics and Evolution of Animals of the Polish Academy of Sciences
The garden mason bee is a species of solitary bee, without which there would be no crops, because its job is to pollinate them. Our climate is rapidly changing. Scientists at the Institute of Systematics and Evolution of Animals of the Polish Academy of Sciences are investigating whether climate change is affecting bees, and whether heat waves associated with global warming are affecting pollinating insects and pollination efficiency? To facilitate its research and properly store bees, the Institute has procured KK240 climate chambers made by POL-EKO. Currently, the Institute has 4 such units.
