Underbench cabinets for fume hoods

Ventilated underbench cabinets for fume hoods: safety and ergonomics.

DCL fume hoods in standard are produced and delivered without underbench cabinets. The worktop placed at a height of 900 mm allows the user to work in a sitting and/or standing position, at the same time free space allows for individual space management. The space under the worktop is an ideal place to store frequently used reagents. Therefore, underbench cabinets are the most frequently ordered additional option, which not only facilitates the work of laboratory technicians, but also secure chemical substances. The underbench cabinets we offer, are connected to the fume hood ventilation system by a 50mm diameter piping (PVC), connection takes place above the working chamber.

Thanks to the use of ventilated underbench cabinets, we reduce the frequency of substances transfer (often dangerous), which minimizes the risk of accidents. Fume hoods underbench cabinets are available in several versions depending on the nature of the stored substances:

  • steel cabinets for storing non-aggressive chemicals
  • polypropylene cabinets for permanent storage of aggressive substances, acids and alkalis
  • Asecos cabinets for storing flammable and explosive substances

In addition, we recommend the use of PVC cuvettes for the shelves. The cuvette protects from uncontrolled leachates which will make it easier to keep the inside of the cabinet clean

VENTILATED UNDERBENCH CABINET MADE OF POLYPROPYLENE

Ventilated polypropylene underbench cabinets are designed for permanent storage of aggressive substances, acids and alkalis. The cabinets have been designed to perfectly fill the space under the fume hood worktop. Their construction is entirely made of polypropylene making it resistant to most aggresive substances like acids or alkalis. Connecting the cabinet to the fume hood ventilation system guarantees safety for people working in the laboratory. The fronts of the cabinet move along a guide made of polypropylene, one shelf divide the interior of the cabinet into two levels. PVC cuvette is included in delivery. The cuvette protects from uncontrolled leachates which will make it easier to keep the inside of the cabinet clean.

VENTILATED UNDERBENCH CABINET MADE OF STEEL

Ventilated steel underbench cabinets for fume hoods are designed for storing non-aggressive chemicals. The cabinets have been designed to perfectly fill the space under the fume hood worktop. The structure of the cabinet is entirely made of galvanized steel painted with chemically resistant epoxy paint, color RAL 7035. In order to ensure the durability of the cabinets, chemical-resistant hinges have also been used, thanks to which the cabinet will serve for many years. Connecting the cabinet to the fume hood ventilation system guarantees safety for people working in the laboratory. Steel ventilated cabinets for the fume hoods are equipped with one steel shelf, painted with chemical resistant epoxy paint (RAL 7035) which divide the interior of the cabinet into two levels.

ASECOS VENTILATED UNDERBENCH CABINET

Asecos underbench cabinets for fume hoods are designed for storing flammable and explosive substances. Ventilated 90-min fume hood hood cabinets of the UB-T-90 series guarantee safety and protect the substances placed inside from fire and high temperature for 90 minutes. Asecos cabinets are equipped with a lock fitted with indicator. In addition, each cabinet is equipped with a steel cuvette with a steel perforated insert. The cabinet from the outside is painted with chemically resistant paint in light gray - RAL 7035. All Acecos cabinets of the UB-T-90 line are certified according to EN 14470-1.
